Efficient Harvest Operations...Are A Sound Investment. The Simpler Sampler utilizes a beater for threshing in conjunction with an air column for separation. It can be operated on two speeds; a high speed for threshing cereal grains, or a low speed to prevent kernel damage, when threshing oilseeds. The amount of flow in the column is adjustable to facilitate separation of materials of varying mass, similar to the wind adjustment of a combine.

Handfuls of crop are fed into the threshing chamber and are simultaneously threshed and cleaned; the clean grain is collected, and the chaff is expelled. The straw is discarded and the process is then repeated. Five to ten minutes are required, depending on conditions, to thresh enough grain for moisture testers. This time is very dependent on the operator, since most of the required time is in obtaining the sample handfuls from the swath, with the actual threshing time minimal.

NEW Combine Loss Square
Initially determine your seed loss on a per ft² basis by placing the 2.5’ x 2.5’ loss square behind the combine discharge and collecting the chaff. Seed is then cleaned and separated from the material collected using a sieve and weighed. The seed loss on a per acre basis is then calculated using included instructions and conversion table.
Dimo's/Labtronics 919 Sample Divider or Splitter
Used to evenly split a sample into two equal parts. The sample is placed into the upper funnel and released by pulling out the slide. Gravity ensures the sample is evenly dispersed over a center cone and falls into 16 pockets. The grain remains separated and falls into two different collection containers. The Labtronics sample divider is calibrated to provide accurate splits of +/- 0.5 % on a 1000 gram sample of Hard Red Spring Wheat.
Dimo's Barley Pearler
Dimo's Barley Pearler is used to dehull barley for the determination of mellowness and heat-damaged kernels. It uses a 30 grit stone and a No. 8 mesh stainless steel screen. With a 24 grit stone and a No. 7 mesh screen wheat can also be pearled to determine hardness. The hulled or pearled grain is discharged through a slot into the sample drawer, while the chaff and hulls are passed through a screen into a large catch drawer. Each unit is equipped with a 1/3 HP motor and a automatic timer that can be set to any desired time. Shaft guard also installed.
